NEET-UG EXAM

(NEET) which is known as National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test. The national level single entrance test provides admission in MBBS, BDS, and PG all private and government medical colleges all across India. MBBS stands for (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery). BDS stands for Bachelor of dental surgery.  National Testing Agency (Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India) (NTA) is responsible for conducting the exam of NEET-UG. This exam is conducted in offline mode. Each year more than 11 lakhs number of applicants apply for this exam. This exam offered 55 thousand seats for students. It is one of the largest medical tests of India.

This exam is conducted in more than 150 cities of India. The exact place and address of the centre are provided in the admit card. Candidate can easily get the final allotment of the exam centre by admit card. The Examination Centre will open two (02) hours before the commencement of the test. No candidate shall be allowed to enter the Examination Centre after 1:30 p.m. Therefore, candidates must ensure that they leave home well in advance considering all facts like traffic, location of the centre and weather conditions, etc. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall.

Syllabus for the Test


The Question Papers for the test shall be based on a Common Syllabus notified by the Medical Council of India and implemented in the year 2013. It is also available at www.mciindia.org


Paper Pattern


The paper pattern of NEET based on multiple choice questions answers and correct response question answers. The main subjects of this exam are physics, chemistry, and biology (Botany and Zoology). The paper pattern of NEET consists of 180 objective type of questions. Each question carries 4 marks by giving correct answer candidate will get 4 marks. The total time duration of this paper is 3 hours. It is compulsory for the candidate that they must opt the paper either in English or Hindi language. The medium of the exam is Hindi, English, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Urdu, Oriya, and Telugu.


Application Procedure


Students who want to apply online for NEET exam. They can directly apply by going on the official website can fill the NEET application form for admission. One and most important thing before candidate fill the form must check the eligibility of the exam that whether you are eligible for an exam or not. The eligibility criteria for the exam are that candidate must have 50% marks in 12th standard. To sit in these exams’ candidate must complete 17 years of his age. If the age of the candidate is above than 25, he/she is eligible to sit for the exam. Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue MBBS/ BDS from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG).

Declaration of Result

  • The National Testing Agency will conduct the NEET (UG) - 2019, evaluate the Answer Sheets and the result will be hosted on website www.ntaneet.nic.in. The NTA will prepare the merit list as per the directives of DGHS, MCI and DCI.
  • No category wise result sheet will be prepared. As soon as the result is ready, NTA will host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Sheets.
  • All Candidates appearing in NEET (UG) - 2019must regularly check updates on website of NTA, MoH & FW, Medical Counselling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in) and Participating States/Universities/Institutions till conclusion of final round of Counselling.
